Historic Homes is pleased to announce the addition of Karen Chinitz to their residential brokerage family. Karen’s sales experiences, negotiation skills, boundless enthusiasm, positivity and empathy for others will provide her with a great foundation to succeed as a broker.
In 1995, Karen moved with her husband, Attorney Michael Chinitz, to South Newton where they lived until 2009. Thereafter they moved to West Newton where they raised 3 daughters and sheltered and loved numerous rescue dogs. Having lived on both the south and north sides of the city, Karen has a thorough knowledge of each of Newton’s villages. In addition, Karen has worked extensively with Newton Girls Soccer for more than 10 years as a liaison between parents and coaches and instituted changes to advance the program. When not on the soccer fields, Karen can be found with her dogs in one of Newton’s and the neighboring community’s dog parks.
Following her graduation from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Karen launched her career in advertising and marketing by focusing on the real estate industry. Working closely with developers, Karen partnered in creating the advertising and marketing materials for numerous multi-unit condominium projects in Massachusetts. After several years in this field, Karen successfully transitioned to the highly competitive field of software sales, in which she focused on legal and tax research software. As Karen earned the trust of her clients and the senior staff, she became a leading sales person for Thomson Professional Publishing.
Now, with her three kids grown, Karen is excited to partner with The Drucker Team at Historic Homes. Karen’s clients will benefit from her resolve, compassion and extensive knowledge of Newton and its surrounding communities.
With Karen’s winning personality, charisma, self-motivation and boundless enthusiasm, Historic Homes is thrilled to have her on board.
